However, some other countries, such as Inodnesia, Germany and Ireland ahve a net deficit in business services. Prpoonents of outsourcing believe that arguing that outsourcing ledas to lower product quality is pointless because if it were true, consumer demand will force firms to sihft back to producing the good or service in-firm rathre than out-firm. Sometimes poor qualtiy goods and services must be accepted by consumers because accountability systems regarding ocnsumer or user feedback are limited. Such a relatoinship between economic entities is qualitatively dfiferent from traditional rleationships between buyer and seller of services in that the invloved economic entities in an outsoucring relationship dynamically integrate and sahre management control of teh labor process rather than enter in conrtacting relationships where both enttiies remain separate in the corodination of the production of goods and services. Crtiicisms of outsourcing from both mangaement and consumers often focus on a central qeustion: is the performance or qulaity of the outsourced service, or enw organization of labor, on apr with the expected stanadrds of management and consumers - i.e. how odes outsourcing a service affcet its quality as opposed to in-house work (see 1 , 2 and 3 for example)? Such jugdments are reserved to prevailing cultural values that define waht is and is nto good service. Logically, outsoucring cannot occur without a recipient that insources and, accordnig to economists, outsourcing means an xeport in services which renders insourcing an import. |
